Worthwhile reads from the web this week

Here are my worthwhile reads from the web from this week 11/5:

After last weekend’s dinner at Tango, I am craving more skirt steak! This recipe for Marinated Skirt Steak Topped with Salad sounds easy and quick.

Even though the next couple of days are going to warm up in Boston, ‘tis the season for soup! I would love a bowl of Chicken rice soup right about now.

When I posted my ways to use up your apples this fall, Lady Spa Spa commented requesting a similar blog post with a roundup of ways to use up eggs. Ironically I came across a few recipes for Deviled Eggs totally worth a look this week!

Speaking of eggs, I have been noshing on eggbeaters with cheese and wheat toast all week for breakfast so this recipe for Toad in the Hole sounds like a good way to change up my boring simple breakfast.

I like the different flavors Carrots n Cake used in this Loaded Baked Potato Chicken Salad, which seems like a filling meal.

The countdown to turkey day has begun. There are a few things to start to do now, so you are not scrambling to get organized on the big day. Channeling Contessa’s Thanksgiving Prep Guide Part I is def worth looking at for tips!

On that note, Tasting Table’s brand-new Thanksgiving Gathering Guide 2012 is available for download today! There are 25 Thanksgiving recipes, 5 custom Thanksgiving menus, and more!

Food and Wine posted a list of Healthy Thanksgiving Side Dishes too, including this Healthy Potato Gratin with Herbs. Doesn’t it look delic?

Perfect for turkey day as a starter, Fresh Spinach Dip is sure to wow dinner guests.

And how yummy does this Cheesy Roasted Garlic Chip-Dip sound!

To wash it all down, Drinks for Every Holiday Fest from Daily Candy might have some new recipes to go with all the Thanksgiving or X-mas grub.

New restaurant alert for Boston!  Earl of Sandwich Opens in the Pink Palace (on Boston Common) tomorrow, according to Boston Eater. They are a Florida-based sandwich chain offering wraps, salads, and soups plus sweet treats like cookies and brownies.

I am shocked people in Boston don’t want to save on dining! In my most recent giveaway, I have a pack of 50 $10 discount cards to giveaway and only a few comments, so your chances to win are high! Enter today!

Hope you had a great week!
