Worthwhile reads from the web this week

Here are my worthwhile reads from the web this week (for last week 8/13):

I have been having way too much fun going out this summer instead of focusing on keeping fit. But with temps cooling down, I need to step up my work outs, even if the weather is bad! Fitnessista has a perfect routine for a rainy day work out I could do right here in my tiny apartment!

Speaking of working out, did you know you can book an appointment to work out with a personal trainer, in the comfort of your home? Check out what PureWow featured on Video chat meets personal training.

Also in regards to keeping fit, Sweet Tooth Sweet Life listed 50 ways to get your cardio on, in case you need some motivation to get moving more. I know I do!

On the career front, I loved reading Biz Notes: How did you start working for yourself? from Channeling Contessa. I can’t get enough of women’s stories of what lead them to different points in their careers! SO motivating to me, since I am in the process of balancing a full time job, my writing, and starting up a small side business.

Now onto my favorite topic! You guessed it…food! Bon Appetit created a list of the Top 50 Best New Restaurants of 2012.

I loved this blog post on James and Everett Remembering Julia: In her Words. My favorite Julia quote is ”Find something you are passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it.”

Another article that caught my eye was the Centsational Girl Fall Fashion Report from NYC. I am pretty psyched leopard is still in style, since I have so many tops from last year!

Hope you had a great week!

  1. Michelle! I’m so glad you liked the post. It’s the best feeling when I can inspire and motivate others… but sometimes I’m not actually sure I’m doing that, so thanks for letting me know :). And thanks for reading! xx
