Worthwhile reads from the web this week

This week did not fly by quite as quick as last week for 4th of July (week of 7/9) since it was a full work week but what can you do! I made it out for a long walk Monday night with my work out buddy, Tuesday hit up Jerry Remy’s roof deck (more on that later), and had the trainer on Wednesday plus did some writing for CBS (best stadium food!). Thursday the weather was gorgeous and I made like a college kid at Coogan’s for dollar beers and trivia followed by patio hopping between The Landing and Tia’s. Of course my luck, now that the weekend rolled around I feel so exhausted and run down so I am keepin’ it low key. Any-who, here’s what made it to my worthwhile reads from the web this week:

Get your cardio on in only 10 minutes with Blogilates new quick free work out Pop Cardio that you can do at home!

Eatery Expert posted Top 10: Best Beach Reads for Foodies. Let’s also not forget about The Pig and Me or Will Write for Food!

Bostonchefs.com reminded us that although Restaurant Week is a bit away, their site is up and running.

Rachel Ray Lemon-Caper Scallops sound like a quick seafood centric meal to me.

Week of Menus “Balsamic Honey Barbecue Wings: Reasons why summer is so great” is a must read (and make).

On a more serious front, BHG.com posted some tips on how to Stay Safe in the Summer Sun, worth checking out.

If you are looking for a family friendly activity in Boston, check out Free Friday Flicks at the Hatch Shell.

New Boston restaurant alert! Vejigantes opens on Tuesday.

Also the South End is welcoming another new spot Yakitori Zai.

And for gourmet food to go, Avery Provision Co is open for biz in DTC.

That’s all folks! Let me know if I missed anything and have a great Saturday!
