Worthwhile reads from the web this week

What a week. I got to enjoy dinner on the Fiore roof deck with my girls Monday (more on that later), got in a good work-out at the gym Tuesday, a personal training session followed by QT with the boyfriend at home Wednesday, and had drinks for a co-workers b-day at Trade Thursday, followed by more drinks at Jerry Remy’s, with a different group. And squeezed in between working at my day job, plenty of writing and researching for my blog, Examiner, CBS, and a future business endeavor my colleague and I have been dreaming up (you bet there will be more info to come on that later!!).  Needless to say Friday I was beat and finally relaxed.

Today I have a long list of things to do to get organized since last weekend I attended the wedding and next weekend I will be meeting up with high school friends and their husbands and kids in CT. I have so much to share on my worthwhile reads from the web this week too (6/11th). Check it out:

Cosmo shared 9 Easy Mood-Boosters that anyone can use.

The DIY from Design Sponge for Upholstery Basics: Poolside Roll Up is the perfect addition to a day at the park, beach, or pool.

The Loaded Spuds recipe on Tasting Table would make a great side dish with some grilled steak this summer.

The Martha Stewart website posted a great list of Handmade Father’s Day Gifts, for anyone still scrounging for something unique and special for tomorrow. What a great idea to use bow ties on the gift!

Speaking of Father’s Day, Peanut Butter-Stuffed French Toast would be an easy and tasty breakfast option for the big day.

And the Nibble had a great gift idea that would also be good for dad: the Pig Of The Month: The Gift Of BBQ.

There is nothing better in summer in Boston then lobster rolls and the Eater website makes it easy to seek out the best options with The Definitive Guide to Boston’s Best Lobster Rolls.

A great reminder to make time for loved ones and unplug from laptops, tablets, and iphone’s for delicious, easy food, was discussed in Dating my husband: no excuses from Not Without Salt.

New cupcake shop alert!  Get your sugar fix on at Georgetown Cupcakes in Boston on Newbury Street.

And indulge on a wide variety of tips with beers from the taps, at Tip Tap Room, opening Monday on Beacon Hill.

Have a great weekend and enjoy your Father’s Day plans!
